a non-inclusive list of reasons why ABCs Of Punk was such a great comp

1. Action Patrol
2. Eagle Bravo cover Joe Jackson
3. One minute (second?) you're listening to In/Humanity, two songs later it's Less Than Jake.
4. I met a particularly rad ex-boyfriend because this CD was on my shelf, and he was tickled to come across a relic of his former band in a stranger's collection at a party. Amateur groupie-dom cum Romantic Comedy: an embarrassing but fairly effective dating strategy.
5. Less than 20% through this list, and I've already lost focus. Whirled Records made it straight through the alphabet, and practically every track is in the good--great range.

How It Felt to be Something On...anistic

Mid 90s emo, after the midwest got hold of it.
In retrospect, I don't think it was half as bad as folks were always yalping at the time.

Shoulder epitomized a moment: the time before dancing.
